This role supports EY’s Canada-based professionals with calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, email and document preparation, expense processing, reporting, and other administrative tasks. Candidates are generally expected to have strong organization, attention to detail, written and spoken English, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience as an executive assistant, administrative assistant, or in a shared-services environment is advantageous. The successful candidate should be reliable, discreet with confidential information, comfortable working with international teams and Canadian time zones, and able to manage competing priorities with limited supervision. Professional communication, flexibility, teamwork, and a client-service mindset are important.
EY, formerly known as Ernst & Young, is a global professional-services organization providing assurance, tax, consulting, strategy, and transactions services. Its teams work with companies, governments, and entrepreneurs on financial reporting, risk management, digital transformation, business performance, and regulatory matters. EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) supports EY member firms worldwide through specialist teams in areas such as finance, technology, research, analytics, and administrative services. The Philippines is one of EY’s important delivery locations, with offices and professionals serving international clients and colleagues. EY promotes collaboration, professional development, inclusion, and technology-enabled ways of working. The organization operates through legally separate member firms within the global EY network, and specific employment terms, benefits, and salary levels vary by country, business function, experience, and grade.
The Philippines offers strong opportunities in business-process services, IT, finance, healthcare, education, tourism, and multinational shared-services operations. Manila and nearby cities such as Taguig, Makati, and Quezon City have the largest concentration of corporate jobs, while Cebu and Davao also provide growing technology and services markets. Filipino culture is generally warm, community-oriented, family-centered, and comfortable with English-language business communication. Lifestyle varies from busy metropolitan living to relaxed coastal and island communities. Costs are usually lower than in Canada, though rent in central Manila can be significant. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, while permanent relocation requires careful planning for housing, healthcare, banking, and taxes. The country offers beaches, mountains, diving, diverse food, and frequent domestic travel, but newcomers should prepare for traffic, tropical weather, and occasional typhoons.
