Destination Guide

Ireland offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, technology, healthcare, finance, construction and education, especially in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick. Irish workplaces are generally friendly, collaborative and informal, while customer service, punctuality and clear communication are highly valued. The lifestyle combines vibrant cities with easy access to coastline, countryside, music, sport and a strong pub and café culture. Dublin has the widest job market but also the highest rents; regional cities may offer a slower pace and lower living costs. Non-EU citizens usually need an employment permit before starting work, and the appropriate permit depends on the occupation, salary and employer. EU, EEA and Swiss nationals can generally live and work without a visa. Relocating employees should budget for accommodation deposits, transport and healthcare arrangements, and confirm tax, immigration and employment requirements before moving.
