The culture is generally informal, multicultural and work-focused, with strong expectations around punctuality, workplace safety and respectful teamwork. Darwin has a warm tropical climate, outdoor activities, national parks and a relaxed lifestyle, although living costs and seasonal weather should be considered. Most overseas workers need an appropriate visa, such as an employer-sponsored visa, skilled visa or working holiday visa where eligible.
