Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf destination rather than an island, with strong opportunities in hospitality, aviation, retail, tourism, construction, technology, healthcare, and finance. Dubai offers an international lifestyle, excellent transport, beaches, shopping, restaurants, and year-round sunshine, though summers are extremely hot and living costs can be high. The culture combines Islamic traditions with a highly diverse expatriate community; respectful dress and behaviour are expected, especially during Ramadan. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residency and a work permit. Employers commonly arrange entry visas, medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation or transport. Before relocating, confirm salary, housing, insurance, working hours, annual leave, probation, and repatriation terms in writing. Bring authenticated qualifications where required and budget for deposits and initial expenses.
