Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest hospitality and business job markets. Opportunities are strong in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, finance, technology, and events. The culture is multicultural and welcoming, while Islamic traditions influence public behaviour, dress, and holidays. Dubai offers a modern lifestyle, beaches, shopping, nightlife, international dining, and excellent transport, although accommodation and schooling can be expensive. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the employer usually arranges the entry permit, medical examination, Emirates ID, and residency process. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, annual leave, and air-ticket benefits before relocating. Summers are extremely hot, so indoor facilities and air conditioning are central to daily life. English is widely used, while Arabic is the official language.
