Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a strong destination for hospitality careers, particularly in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, where luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, and tourism businesses regularly recruit international staff. Abu Dhabi offers a modern, organised lifestyle, excellent infrastructure, beaches, shopping, cultural attractions, and a generally warm, sunny climate. The culture is multicultural but rooted in Islamic traditions, so respectful dress and behaviour are important, especially during Ramadan and at religious sites. Most hotel employees receive an employment visa sponsored by the employer, along with health insurance; accommodation, transport, meals, and annual air tickets may also be included, depending on the contract. Candidates should confirm salary, benefits, probation, working hours, and gratuity terms before relocating. Costs are manageable with employer accommodation, while private housing can be expensive.
