Destination Guide

Spain’s islands, including Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Lanzarote, offer many jobs in hotels, restaurants, tourism, events, retail, watersports, and customer service. Ibiza has a lively international culture, famous nightlife, beaches, music, and seasonal hospitality work, while other islands may provide a quieter lifestyle and broader year-round opportunities. Living costs can be high in popular resorts, particularly for accommodation during summer, so securing housing before arrival is advisable. EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens can work in Spain with registration and a Spanish social security number. Non-EU nationals generally need an appropriate work or internship visa, residence permission, and supporting documents from the employer or educational institution. Candidates should check current requirements with the Spanish consulate. Public transport is available, but a car or scooter can be useful outside major towns. Spanish is valuable, while English and other European languages are widely requested.
