Destination Guide

Spain’s islands, including Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, offer opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, events, retail, marine activities and wellness. Ibiza is especially active during the summer season, although accommodation and living costs can be high. Island life combines beaches, outdoor activities, local food, festivals and a strong international community, but seasonal work can involve long hours and limited public transport in quieter areas. EU, EEA and Swiss nationals can generally work in Spain after completing registration requirements. Non-EU citizens need the appropriate visa or work authorisation; internships may require a student or training arrangement organised with an educational institution and employer. Candidates should confirm requirements with Spanish authorities or their consulate. Securing staff accommodation, shared housing and health insurance before arrival is advisable, particularly for summer roles.
