Job Description

The Sous Chef – Conference & Events supports the Executive Chef in planning and delivering high-quality food for conferences, banquets, functions and other large-scale events. Requirements generally include formal culinary training, substantial commercial kitchen experience, proven supervisory ability and strong knowledge of food safety, allergen management, menu execution and cost control. Experience in hotel banqueting or high-volume event catering is highly desirable. The successful candidate is expected to lead and motivate kitchen teams, maintain consistent presentation and quality, coordinate with event and service departments, manage stock and minimise waste. Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve early starts, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
