Destination Guide

Indonesia is an archipelago with strong hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, the Riau Islands and destinations such as Komodo. Bali offers the widest range of international hotel, restaurant, wellness and tourism jobs, while Jakarta and major cities provide opportunities in business hotels and corporate operations. Balinese culture is welcoming, community-oriented and closely connected to Hindu ceremonies, family and local traditions. Lifestyle can include beaches, outdoor activities, a large expatriate community and relatively affordable living, although popular areas have rising rents and traffic. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and the correct work permit and limited-stay visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers commonly assist with immigration, accommodation, flights, insurance or meals, but packages vary. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, housing, tax, contract length and relocation support before accepting an offer.
