Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with opportunities in hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation, finance, technology, healthcare, and logistics. Its culture blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, reflected in its languages, festivals, neighbourhoods, and excellent hawker food. Lifestyle is safe, clean, efficient, and urban, with reliable public transport, shopping, parks, beaches, and easy access to Southeast Asia. Rents can be high, especially near Orchard, so shared housing or employer accommodation may be worth considering. Foreign workers need legal authorization before starting work; hospitality employers commonly apply for an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit depending on qualifications, salary, nationality, and prevailing regulations. New arrivals should budget for accommodation, transport, healthcare, deposits, and daily expenses, and verify current Ministry of Manpower requirements before relocating.
