People & Culture Manager

Job Description

The People & Culture Manager leads human resources activities at Pullman Hamilton, supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, workplace culture, and compliance with New Zealand employment law. The role generally requires proven HR experience, preferably within hospitality or another fast-paced service environment, strong knowledge of employment legislation, excellent communication skills, discretion, and the ability to advise managers confidently. The successful candidate is expected to be approachable, commercially aware, organised, and capable of balancing employee wellbeing with operational needs. Experience with HR systems, talent development, workforce planning, and change management would be valuable. A relevant HR qualification or equivalent practical experience is typically preferred.
