Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers coastal living, beaches, desert landscapes, and modern cities. Hospitality creates many opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism, and food and beverage operations, especially in Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; respectful dress, courteous behavior, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Lifestyle options include watersports, hiking, shopping, dining, cultural attractions, and desert excursions. Employers normally sponsor a work visa after issuing an employment contract. The employer generally arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and residency procedures, while candidates should verify all terms before travel. Relocation costs, accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, leave, and airfare can vary by employer. The climate is very hot and humid in summer, so newcomers should prepare for heat and higher living costs in major cities.
