Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, offering extensive opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, construction, healthcare, and technology. Ras Al Khaimah has a relaxed lifestyle, beaches, mountains, desert activities, and a growing hospitality sector. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Summers are extremely hot, while winter is comfortable and popular for outdoor activities. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation, meals, transport, and flights. Candidates should confirm the full benefits package before accepting an offer. Relocation requires a valid passport, employment contract, entry permit, and medical clearance. Public transport is developing, though a car or taxi is often useful. The UAE has no personal income tax, but living costs vary considerably by emirate and accommodation arrangement.
