Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island nation, but it offers coastal resort destinations across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and other emirates. Hospitality opportunities are strong in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, events, wellness and recreation, with lifeguards in demand at beaches, pools and water parks. The culture is multicultural and respectful, with Islamic traditions influencing dress, conduct and public behaviour. Lifestyle varies from modern city living to quieter coastal or desert communities; summers are extremely hot, while winter is pleasant. Employers generally arrange an employment visa, work permit, medical checks and Emirates ID after hiring. Relocation packages may include accommodation, transport, meals, insurance and annual travel, but contracts should be checked carefully. Ras Al Khaimah offers a more relaxed and affordable setting than Dubai, although public transport and entertainment options are more limited.
