Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with strong employment opportunities in hotels, tourism, retail, aviation, construction, healthcare and business services. Ras Al Khaimah offers a quieter, more affordable lifestyle than Dubai, with beaches, mountains, desert landscapes and a growing resort industry. The culture is modern and international while remaining rooted in Islamic traditions; modest dress and respectful behavior are expected, particularly in public and during Ramadan. Summers are extremely hot, so indoor, air-conditioned facilities are common. Employers generally sponsor work visas, arrange medical testing and provide an Emirates ID after hiring. Many hospitality jobs include shared accommodation, transport, meals or allowances and health insurance. Employees should confirm contract terms, working hours, gratuity, leave, accommodation and visa sponsorship before relocating. International airports in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah provide convenient access.
