About the employer

Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa Maldives is a luxury island resort in Noonu Atoll, operated under Accor’s international hospitality network. The property offers upscale accommodation, restaurants, wellness facilities, leisure activities and personalized guest services in a tropical Maldivian setting. Accor is a global hospitality group with hotels, resorts and lifestyle brands across many countries, including well-known names such as Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel and ibis. Working at Kuredhivaru provides exposure to international hotel standards, multicultural teams and the operational demands of a remote luxury resort. Engineering employees support guest comfort and business continuity by maintaining essential systems, including air-conditioning, refrigeration, water, electrical and other building services. Resort packages commonly include staff accommodation and meals, although exact benefits depend on the employment contract.

Working in Maldives

The Maldives offers job opportunities mainly in resorts, hotels, restaurants, diving, watersports, engineering, housekeeping, finance and guest services. Resort life is international and structured, with employees usually living in dedicated staff areas and working shifts. Local island communities follow Islamic traditions, so modest dress and respectful behavior are important outside resort zones; alcohol is generally restricted to licensed resorts. Life is peaceful and scenic, but remote islands have limited shopping, healthcare and entertainment compared with Malé. Employers normally arrange a work permit and employment approval, while the employee must provide valid travel documents, medical checks and required certificates. Confirm visa, airfare, accommodation, meals, insurance, leave and service-charge terms before accepting an offer. Relocation may involve international flights, boat or seaplane transfers, humid weather and limited personal space. English is widely used in resorts, and learning a few Dhivehi phrases can help with local interactions.
