Destination Guide

Singapore is a modern city-state and island with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, finance, technology, healthcare, and logistics. Its culture combines Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, reflected in its festivals, food, languages, and neighborhoods. Life is safe, efficient, clean, and highly connected, although accommodation and daily expenses can be expensive. Public transport is excellent, and English is widely used at work and in everyday activities. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit, depending on qualifications, salary, and occupation. Employers usually guide successful candidates through the application process. Relocating workers should budget for housing, healthcare, transport, deposits, and living costs, and confirm pass eligibility before accepting an offer.
