Captain, Shang Palace

Job Description

The Captain at Shang Palace is responsible for supervising daily restaurant service, coordinating waitstaff, welcoming guests, taking orders, maintaining service standards, and ensuring an excellent dining experience. Candidates should have relevant experience in fine dining, preferably in a luxury hotel or Chinese restaurant, along with strong knowledge of food and beverage service. Good communication skills, a polished appearance, teamwork, and the ability to remain calm during busy periods are essential. The successful candidate is expected to lead by example, handle guest requests professionally, support upselling, follow hygiene and safety procedures, and help train junior team members. Availability for shifts, weekends, and public holidays is normally required.
