Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities in Jakarta, Bali, Batam, Lombok and other tourism centers, with demand for experienced restaurant, hotel and resort professionals. Bali is popular for its international lifestyle, beaches and strong tourism economy, while Jakarta provides a larger corporate market, extensive dining options and better access to major business services. Indonesian culture values politeness, community, religious diversity and respectful workplace relationships. Living costs vary considerably; Bali's tourist areas can be expensive, while many parts of Jakarta and other islands offer more affordable housing. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and the appropriate work and stay permits before starting employment. The employer generally coordinates immigration and regulatory requirements, so candidates should confirm the visa type, accommodation, insurance, tax treatment and relocation support in writing. Learning basic Bahasa Indonesia is highly beneficial for daily life and workplace integration.
