Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf country rather than an island, offering strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, finance, technology, and construction. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the main employment hubs, while Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, and Fujairah also have growing hospitality sectors. UAE society combines Islamic traditions, Arab heritage, and a highly international population. English is widely used at work, although Arabic is the official language. Lifestyle options include beaches, shopping malls, desert activities, cultural attractions, and excellent dining, but accommodation and transport costs can be high. Most expatriates require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; employers generally arrange permits, medical checks, and Emirates ID processing. UAE nationals benefit from Emiratization initiatives. Applicants should confirm salary, housing, transport, insurance, leave, and other benefits before relocating.
