Destination Guide

For an Indonesia-based role, Bali is the most familiar relocation destination, although Shangri-La opportunities may also be available in Jakarta or other major cities and resort areas. Bali offers strong hospitality employment prospects in hotels, resorts, restaurants, wellness, events, and tourism, with additional opportunities during peak travel seasons. Local culture is welcoming and community-oriented, while Balinese Hindu traditions, ceremonies, and respect for religious customs are important parts of daily life. The lifestyle combines beaches, outdoor activities, dining, and a generally relaxed atmosphere, though traffic and seasonal housing costs can be challenging. Foreign employees normally need employer-sponsored work authorization, including the appropriate work and stay permits; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers usually coordinate the process, but candidates should verify the contract, benefits, accommodation, taxes, and relocation support before accepting an offer.
