Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Batam, and other resort destinations. Bali has the largest concentration of international hotels and strong demand for guest relations, food and beverage, wellness, and resort management professionals. Jakarta, on Java, provides more corporate and business-hotel roles, while Lombok and other islands offer growing leisure markets and a quieter lifestyle. Local culture values politeness, community, family, and respect for religious traditions; daily life can range from busy urban living to relaxed coastal communities. Housing, transport, and living costs vary considerably by island. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and an appropriate work permit and stay permit before starting work; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Candidates should confirm visa support, taxation, accommodation, insurance, contract terms, and service-charge arrangements directly with the employer.
