Job Description

The Director of Engineering oversees all engineering, maintenance, utilities, and building-services operations at the Shangri-La property. Requirements typically include a degree or technical qualification in engineering, substantial experience in hotel or resort engineering, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-life-safety systems, energy management, and preventive maintenance. The candidate is expected to lead and develop the engineering team, manage budgets and contractors, ensure regulatory compliance, respond effectively to emergencies, and maintain a safe, efficient, and guest-ready property. Experience with sustainability programs, renovation projects, procurement, and computerized maintenance systems is highly desirable.
