Destination Guide

Indonesia offers varied opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok and other major islands. Bali is the strongest market for resort sales, weddings, conferences, tourism and hospitality, while Jakarta and Java provide more corporate, convention and commercial roles. The culture is diverse, community-oriented and strongly influenced by local customs and religion; respectful dress and behaviour are important. Lifestyle ranges from busy city living to relaxed coastal communities, with generally affordable food and transport, although Bali housing costs can be high in popular areas. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate limited-stay work visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers usually guide the immigration process, contracts, tax registration and insurance. Candidates should verify salary, accommodation, service charge, relocation support and visa sponsorship before accepting an offer.
