Job Description

The Junior Sous Chef (Pastry) supports the Pastry Chef in managing daily pastry production, including breads, cakes, desserts, chocolates and plated pastries. Candidates are generally expected to have professional pastry or culinary training and several years of experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant or large-scale kitchen. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen cost control is important. The role requires creativity, consistency, attention to detail and the ability to supervise junior colleagues. The successful candidate should work well under pressure, maintain high presentation standards, coordinate with other kitchen sections and help ensure smooth service during busy periods, banquets and special events.
