Stewarding (Dishwasher)

Job Description

The Stewarding (Dishwasher) is responsible for washing and sanitising crockery, cutlery, cookware and kitchen equipment, while keeping dishwashing and storage areas clean and organised. The role may also involve waste handling, replenishing supplies, following food-safety procedures and supporting kitchen colleagues during busy service periods. Candidates should be physically fit, dependable and comfortable standing for long periods in a fast-paced, wet environment. Previous stewarding, dishwashing or hospitality experience is helpful but may not always be essential. The successful candidate is expected to maintain high hygiene standards, follow instructions carefully, work cooperatively, handle equipment safely and support Shangri-La's service standards. Shift work, weekends and public holidays are normally required.
