Job Description

The Chef de Cuisine will lead the South Italian kitchen operation, creating authentic, high-quality dishes while maintaining Shangri-La’s standards for food quality, presentation, hygiene and guest service. Requirements generally include formal culinary training, substantial experience in Italian cuisine, strong knowledge of ingredients and kitchen techniques, and previous supervisory or senior chef experience. The candidate is expected to manage kitchen teams, control food costs and wastage, plan menus, monitor stock, train colleagues and coordinate effectively with service and other hotel departments. Creativity, leadership, organization, resilience and the ability to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays are essential.
