Job Description

The Host or Hostess welcomes guests, manages restaurant seating, handles reservations, coordinates table flow and supports smooth front-of-house operations at Summer Palace, Shangri-La Hong Kong. Candidates should have experience in hotel or fine-dining service, excellent communication skills, a polished and friendly manner, and good knowledge of English; Cantonese and Mandarin are advantageous. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, professional grooming and the ability to remain calm during busy periods. The successful candidate is expected to provide personalized service, maintain Shangri-La standards, work closely with restaurant colleagues and accommodate guests’ needs with discretion and warmth. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required.
