Destination Guide

Singapore is a modern, multicultural island city with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, finance, technology, healthcare, and logistics. Hotel jobs are concentrated around Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Sentosa, Changi, and the central business district. English is widely used, while Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil are also common. The lifestyle is safe, efficient, and convenient, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, parks, and vibrant cultural events. Living costs, especially rent, are relatively high, so shared accommodation is common for entry-level workers. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an S Pass or Employment Pass, subject to salary and eligibility requirements. Employers typically guide successful candidates through the application process. New arrivals should budget for housing deposits, transport, insurance, and daily expenses before relocating.
