Executive Chinese Chef

Job Description

The Executive Chinese Chef leads the Chinese culinary operation, creating authentic, innovative menus while maintaining Shangri-La standards for food quality, presentation, hygiene and guest satisfaction. Candidates should have substantial experience in Chinese cuisine, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant, with strong knowledge of regional techniques, ingredients and kitchen management. The role requires leadership, menu planning, cost control, purchasing oversight, staff training and close coordination with restaurant and banquet teams. The successful candidate is expected to manage service confidently, maintain consistent standards, develop the culinary team and comply with Indonesian food-safety and employment requirements. Fluency in English is generally expected; Mandarin or another Chinese language would be advantageous.
