Marketing Coordinator

Philippines Shangri-La PHP 25,000–PHP 40,000 per month*
Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator supports Shangri-La’s marketing and communications activities, including campaigns, social media, content preparation, promotional materials, events, public relations support, and coordination with internal departments and external partners. Candidates are generally expected to have a degree or diploma in marketing, communications, business, hospitality, or a related field, together with strong writing, organizational, and coordination skills. Experience in hotel, tourism, lifestyle, or luxury-brand marketing is advantageous. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, confidence working with multiple stakeholders, digital marketing awareness, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced resort environment. Familiarity with social media platforms, design tools, and Microsoft Office is commonly expected.

Company Info

Shangri-La Group is a leading luxury hospitality company founded in Hong Kong, with hotels, resorts, residences, and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and other international markets. Its portfolio includes the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts brand, known for refined service, comfortable accommodation, restaurants, wellness facilities, and destination experiences. In the Philippines, Shangri-La operates prominent properties such as Shangri-La The Fort in Manila, Edsa Shangri-La, and island resorts including Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu. The company emphasizes genuine hospitality, personalized guest service, professional development, and cultural awareness. Marketing employees typically work closely with sales, food and beverage, rooms, events, and corporate brand teams to strengthen the property’s profile and support occupancy, revenue, and guest engagement.

Destination Guide

The Philippines offers varied opportunities in hospitality, tourism, marketing, events, food and beverage, diving, wellness, and guest services. Manila and Cebu provide the broadest corporate and hotel markets, while Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, and Siargao offer resort-focused employment and a more relaxed island lifestyle. Filipino culture is warm, family-oriented, sociable, and strongly influenced by English-language education, making workplace communication relatively accessible for international hires. Island living can mean beaches, outdoor activities, local festivals, and a lower cost of living than many major global cities, although transport, healthcare, internet, and imported goods can be less convenient outside urban centers. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, while entry and tourist status do not authorize employment. Candidates should confirm requirements with the employer and Philippine authorities, arrange housing and insurance, and budget for seasonal travel and relocation costs.
