Job Description

The Chinese Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, service quality, guest satisfaction, staff performance, sales, cost control and compliance with Shangri-La standards. Candidates should have several years of experience managing an upscale Chinese restaurant, preferably within a luxury hotel, with strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, wines, service procedures and restaurant financial controls. Fluency in English is generally expected; Mandarin or another Chinese language is advantageous. The successful candidate should demonstrate confident leadership, excellent communication, commercial awareness, problem-solving ability and a genuine commitment to hospitality. Flexibility for shifts, weekends and public holidays is required, together with the ability to train and motivate a multicultural team.
