Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but its coastal cities and islands, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat and Yas Island, offer strong hospitality employment opportunities. Hotels, resorts, beach clubs, restaurants and entertainment venues regularly recruit bartenders, servers and culinary staff. The culture is multicultural and respectful, with Islamic customs influencing dress, public behavior and alcohol service. Lifestyle options range from beaches, shopping and nightlife to desert activities and cultural attractions. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are pleasant. Employees normally need an employer-sponsored residence visa and work permit; medical testing and Emirates ID registration are commonly required. Employers may provide accommodation, transport, meals and health insurance, although packages vary. Candidates should verify contract terms, service charges, working hours and relocation benefits before accepting an offer.
