The group operates hotels, resorts, and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and other key destinations. In the Philippines, Shangri-La manages well-known properties in locations such as Manila, Cebu, and Boracay, serving business travelers, leisure guests, families, and major events. The company places strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, colleague development, sustainability, and creating memorable experiences. Destination Guide

The Philippines offers diverse opportunities in hospitality, tourism, sales, retail, technology, healthcare, and business services, especially in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, and other resort destinations. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented, welcoming, and English-friendly, with strong influences from Spanish, American, and Asian traditions. Island living can provide beaches, outdoor activities, affordable local food, and a relaxed lifestyle, although transport, weather, healthcare access, and internet quality vary by island. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly arranged through the company after an offer is accepted. Relocation planning should cover accommodation, health insurance, banking, tax registration, and transportation. Manila offers the broadest professional network, while Cebu and resort islands provide a more lifestyle-focused setting. Typhoons, humidity, and seasonal travel disruption should be considered when choosing a location and planning a move.
