Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Davao and other growing tourism destinations. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, cruise-related businesses and wellness properties regularly recruit experienced supervisors and managers, although competition is strongest for luxury roles. Filipino culture is warm, family-oriented and highly social, with English widely used in business and hospitality. Lifestyle varies from fast-paced city living in Manila to a more relaxed beach setting on islands such as Boracay or Palawan. Costs are generally moderate, but central Manila housing can be expensive. Candidates should secure a written offer before relocating. Foreign employees normally need an Alien Employment Permit and an appropriate Department of Labor work authorization, followed by an employer-supported 9(g) work visa; requirements can change. Tourist status does not permit employment. Research housing, healthcare, transport, weather and local salary conditions before arrival.
