The Assistant Director of Engineering supports the Director of Engineering in managing hotel facilities, building systems, preventive maintenance and technical operations. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in engineering, preferably electrical, mechanical or building services, along with several years of experience in hotel engineering or a similar property environment. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety, energy management and local regulations is expected. The successful candidate should be practical, organised and comfortable supervising technicians, contractors and maintenance projects. Good communication, budgeting, troubleshooting and leadership skills are important, together with a service-minded approach and willingness to work shifts, weekends or respond to emergencies when required.
