Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest hospitality, tourism and MICE job markets. Opportunities are available in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, aviation, retail and business services. The culture is multicultural and respectful, blending Emirati traditions with a large international community. Lifestyle options range from beaches, desert activities and shopping to museums, nightlife and major sporting events, although summers are extremely hot. Most expatriates require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; employers commonly arrange the work permit, medical examination, Emirates ID and residency processing. Relocation packages may include accommodation, transport, medical insurance or flights, depending on seniority and company policy. Candidates should verify contract terms, probation conditions, benefits and visa sponsorship before accepting an offer. Living costs, especially housing in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, can be high.
