Job Description

The Director of Engineering is responsible for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the resort’s buildings, utilities, plant equipment and technical systems. Requirements typically include a degree or technical qualification in engineering, substantial experience in hotel or resort engineering, leadership capability, and strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, energy management, fire and life-safety systems, and local regulations. The successful candidate is expected to lead the engineering team, manage budgets and contractors, maintain compliance, support sustainability initiatives, respond effectively to emergencies, and work closely with hotel departments to protect guest comfort and operational standards. Strong communication, planning, problem-solving and hands-on leadership skills are essential.
