Job Description

The Senior Events Manager is responsible for planning, selling and delivering conferences, weddings, meetings and other special events for Shangri-La. Requirements typically include a degree or diploma in hospitality, business or event management, several years of hotel or event-sales experience, strong knowledge of banquet operations, and proven leadership skills. The successful candidate should be commercially minded, well organised and confident in negotiating with clients. Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building abilities are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to manage budgets, deadlines, suppliers and multiple events at once.
