Job Description

The Captain at Shang Palace is responsible for supervising daily restaurant service, coordinating waitstaff, welcoming guests, taking orders, and ensuring smooth, attentive dining experiences. Candidates should have previous experience in a high-end restaurant or hotel, strong knowledge of food and beverage service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team. Familiarity with Chinese cuisine, wine and beverage service, and hotel operating standards is advantageous. The role requires professionalism, attention to detail, confident guest interaction, and the ability to remain calm during busy periods. Candidates are expected to support training, resolve guest concerns tactfully, maintain hygiene and service standards, and contribute to Shang Palace’s luxury dining reputation.
