Destination Guide

Malaysia offers hotel and event opportunities in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and other tourism centers. Demand is strongest in luxury resorts, business hotels, restaurants, meetings and weddings, with English widely used alongside Malay and Mandarin. Island locations such as Langkawi and Penang provide a relaxed lifestyle, beaches, outdoor activities and lower living costs than many major international destinations, although transport and housing can be more limited. Kuala Lumpur offers broader career options, shopping, healthcare and public transport. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, and the company usually handles the application after making an offer; requirements and approval depend on nationality, salary and role. Candidates should confirm visa eligibility, accommodation, insurance, taxes, service charge and relocation support before accepting. Malaysia has a warm tropical climate, diverse food culture and generally welcoming communities.
