Its properties are known for polished service, distinctive dining, wellness facilities, and a strong emphasis on genuine hospitality. In the Philippines, Shangri-La operates well-established city and resort properties, including hotels in Manila and Boracay. The group provides opportunities in hotel operations, sales, finance, guest services, food and beverage, engineering, and leadership. Destination Guide

The Philippines offers opportunities in hotels, resorts, tourism, business services, technology, retail, and education, particularly in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, and other major destinations. Work culture is relationship-focused, welcoming, and generally respectful of hierarchy, while English is widely used in business and hospitality. Lifestyle varies from busy metropolitan living to relaxed beach communities; costs are usually lower than in many Western countries, although premium island locations can be expensive. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and an appropriate visa, with requirements handled through Philippine immigration and labor authorities. Candidates should confirm sponsorship, medical checks, tax arrangements, accommodation, and travel coverage before relocating. The country has tropical weather, excellent beaches, varied food, and strong community life, but newcomers should prepare for traffic, seasonal typhoons, humidity, and occasional infrastructure limitations on smaller islands.
