Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it is a popular Gulf destination with major hospitality opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and other emirates. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, catering companies, and tourism businesses regularly recruit chefs, supervisors, and service professionals. Life is modern, safe, and multicultural, with excellent shopping, beaches, dining, entertainment, and transport, although summers are extremely hot. The culture combines Islamic traditions with a large international expatriate community; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas, usually arranged after a formal offer and medical checks. Employers may provide accommodation or a housing allowance, transport, meals, insurance, and annual flights, depending on the contract. Candidates should verify all benefits, recruitment fees, working hours, and contract terms before relocating.
