Destination Guide

Spain’s main employment islands include the Balearic Islands—Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, and Formentera—and the Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura. Tourism creates opportunities in hotels, restaurants, maintenance, housekeeping, wellness, entertainment, transport, and events, with many vacancies concentrated in the summer season. Ibiza offers an international, energetic lifestyle, attractive beaches, nightlife, and a strong hospitality culture, but accommodation can be expensive and difficult to secure. Spanish is useful for everyday life, while English and other languages are valuable in tourism. EU and EEA citizens can work in Spain after completing registration requirements. Non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and visa before starting employment. Candidates should confirm accommodation, seasonal dates, salary, transport, social-security registration, and tax arrangements before relocating.
