British workplace culture is generally professional, punctual and relatively informal, with emphasis on communication, teamwork and work-life balance. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to quieter coastal and rural communities, with reliable public transport and extensive cultural activities. Salaries are commonly quoted annually, and rent and living costs are highest in London and the southeast. Irish citizens can work without a visa.
