Candidates are expected to have experience in structural BIM design, strong knowledge of Revit and relevant construction standards, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Good communication, attention to detail, problem-solving ability and experience working with multidisciplinary teams are important.
Amazon is a global technology and commerce company founded in the United States and operating across retail, cloud computing, logistics, digital services, entertainment and artificial intelligence. Its Amazon Web Services division provides cloud infrastructure used by organisations worldwide and relies on a large network of data centres. In Ireland, Amazon has significant technology, operations and corporate activities, with offices and facilities supporting AWS and other business lines. The company is known for a customer-focused and highly data-driven working culture, commonly organised around its Leadership Principles. Employees may work on large-scale, technically complex programmes with international teams. Benefits and compensation vary by role and location, but may include pension contributions, health coverage, paid leave and, for eligible positions, equity or performance-related rewards.
Ireland offers strong opportunities in technology, data centres, engineering, construction, pharmaceuticals, financial services and professional consulting. Dublin is the main employment hub, while Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford also provide growing opportunities. Irish workplace culture is generally collaborative, conversational and relatively informal, with English used widely. The lifestyle combines lively cities, outdoor activities, coastal scenery and easy access to countryside, although housing—especially in Dublin—is expensive and competitive. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work without an employment permit. Non-EU nationals normally need an eligible employment permit, such as a Critical Skills Employment Permit where the occupation and salary qualify, or a General Employment Permit. Relocating candidates should arrange accommodation early, obtain a Personal Public Service Number, open a bank account and review healthcare, taxation and transport options. Employers may provide relocation assistance, but this should be confirmed before accepting an offer.
