Data Center Operation Technician

Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician maintains and supports Amazon data-center infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, cabling, power systems and environmental controls. Requirements typically include a technical certificate, diploma or equivalent experience in IT, electronics, engineering or a related field; basic understanding of computer hardware, networking and operating systems; and the ability to troubleshoot methodically. Candidates should be comfortable working shifts, including nights, weekends and on-call periods, and performing physical tasks such as lifting equipment and working in restricted areas. Amazon expects strong safety awareness, accurate documentation, effective communication, teamwork and a customer-focused approach. Experience with data centers, hardware repair, structured cabling or Linux is advantageous.
