Destination Guide

Japan’s main island, Honshu, offers opportunities in hospitality, tourism, technology, manufacturing, education, and healthcare. Osaka is a lively, relatively approachable city with excellent rail connections, affordable food, historic neighborhoods, and easy access to Kyoto, Kobe, and Nara. Japanese workplace culture commonly values punctuality, respect, teamwork, hierarchy, and careful attention to detail; learning everyday Japanese greatly improves daily life and career prospects. Rent and commuting costs vary, with central Osaka more expensive than outer districts. Foreign workers normally need an appropriate residence status before starting employment. The employer may support visa documentation, but eligibility depends on qualifications, job duties, contract terms, and immigration approval. Candidates should confirm sponsorship, salary, housing assistance, insurance, taxes, relocation costs, and probation conditions directly with Four Seasons. Japan’s national health insurance, pension, and employment rules generally apply to eligible employees.
