Destination Guide

Seychelles offers employment mainly in tourism and hospitality, including housekeeping, food and beverage, front office, maintenance, marine activities, wellness, and administration. Desroches Island is remote and resort-focused, so staff life is centered around work, beaches, nature, and a close employee community rather than town amenities. Seychellois culture combines African, European, and Asian influences, with Creole, English, and French widely used. The lifestyle is warm, relaxed, outdoors-oriented, and generally more expensive than many countries because most goods are imported. Foreign workers normally need an approved Gainful Occupation Permit before starting work; the employer usually sponsors and coordinates the process. Applicants should confirm passport, medical, contract, accommodation, transport, and repatriation requirements before accepting an offer. Flights and relocation support vary by contract.
